Q.- An employee is trying to get reimbursed from his Dependent Care FSA for the amount he pays a babysitter to watch his kids when he is at work.  The babysitter will not give him her Social Security Number.  Can he still be reimbursed from the FSA?

A.- Yes, if the employee can provide documentation he attempted to obtain the Social Security Number and was unable to do so because either the babysitter does not have one or the babysitter would not provide it.
