The United States Department of Labor announced that $1.25 million will be available for research and analysis on how paid leave programs can be implemented across the United States. The Women’s Bureau will administer the funding.

The funding shows a commitment from the Department towards its focus on paid leave for working families in America. The President has stressed the importance of access to paid leave, and many states have passed paid leave laws. The new financial commitment will fund 10 grants to help enact paid leave policies.
