The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has announced that the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection tool will open April 12, 2022. The deadline to submit and certify Component 1 data is Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

All private sector employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria must submit demographic workforce data, including data by race/ethnicity, sex, and job categories. This information is submitted to the EEOC using the EEO-1 Component 1 data collection tool.

Filing resources, including a submission instruction booklet, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and fact sheets may be accessed by visiting the Filer Support Center.
