The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 requires group health plans to offer 100% subsidized COBRA coverage from April 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021 to eligible individuals whose COBRA qualifying event was an involuntary termination of employment or reduction in hours.

Cobra Control Services (CCS) has already adjusted its Qualifying Event module to capture information on the type of termination or reduction in hours (voluntary or involuntary). When you access MyEnroll360 to provide CCS notice of a qualifying event, you will be asked to identify if the event relates to a voluntary termination/reduction of hours or an involuntary termination/reduction of hours.

Capturing this data will help you comply with the upcoming ARPA premium subsidy. For information about CCS’ COBRA services, contact your account manager or service@CobraControl.com.
