Proper COBRA administration depends on communication of the correct plan premium rates.
Cobra Control Services, LLC (“CCS”) is pleased to announce enhancements to its automated rate program for 2017. Administrators of group health plans that contract with CCS for COBRA-only services should find the enhancements intuitive and easy to use.
Background
CCS’ Automated Rate Update Program in MyEnroll.com is an online tool which allows any individual on an employer’s email distribution list to update COBRA premiums.
- Approximately 30-days in advance of the employer’s plan renewal date, MyEnroll.com sends an email requesting the user to click through a hyperlink to the Automated Rate Update Program.
- Upon completion of the rate update, new premiums are loaded in MyEnroll.com, instantly. Each person on the employer’s email distribution list is sent a confirmation of the rate update to review the update for accuracy.
Enhancement
CCS has enhanced its online COBRA Automated Rate Update Program by the changing the format now allowing users to view each line of coverage in a more structured fashion. In addition, users will note that the speed of the program has increased.
How it works
- A user clicks the hyperlink in the rate renewal request email to access the Automated Rate Update Program.
- Once in the program, the user will use the dropdown box to select the line of coverage they wish to update (dental, medical, vision, etc). Note: Only those plans that have a renewal date within the upcoming 30 days will appear.
- The user selects the "Manage" button, next to each plan. The user will see the option to modify the rates, change the rating structure or delete the plan.
- Users may add new plans by click "add a new plan” button.
Upon selecting “Save and Finalize,” MyEnroll.com is updated with the new rate information.
