BAS participated in another charitable giving opportunity by raising money for, and walking in, the Best Buddies Friendship Walk at the King of Prussia mall on Sunday, April 28.
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The walk plays a key role in funding Best Buddies programs dedicated to one-to-one friendships and leadership development for individuals with IDD. Each walk provides an opportunity to see the Best Buddies mission in action at a local level.
To raise money for Best Buddies, BAS organized three fundraisers: a bake sale, a chili cook-off, and a wear jeans to work day. Money from the fundraisers, along with an additional donation from BAS, will be used by Best Buddies to support inclusion for people with disabilities and celebrate the joy that friendship can bring.
