Employers can manage dependent eligibility through MyEnroll.com.

Some employers choose to “pend” dependents before effectuating benefits coverage until the employer receives proof of dependent status. MyEnroll.com can accommodate this practice by managing dependent eligibility.

During the annual Open Enrollment or new hire Enrollment, employees can elect self-only coverage through MyEnroll.com. The employee lists their dependents and indicates enrollment. However, the enrollment is pended and not put into effect until the employer accepts the enrollment. During the pend, the employer can provide instructions to the employee about providing documentation to verify the dependent’s status.

The employee is directed to send dependent verification documentation within a set time period. After the employer reviews the documentation, the employer can release the pend and coverage will be effectuated for the dependent.

This process is one of the many ways MyEnroll.com can work with individual plan structures. For more information, email info@BASusa.com or call your account manager.
