New Standard Procedures for Electronic Funds Transfers and Remittance Advice Transactions Required under Health Care Reform
Last week, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued an interim final rule addressing the electronic payment and adjustment of health care claims. This new electronic funds transfer (EFT) guidance under health care reform builds upon existing rules with the goal of encouraging standard operating practices and increasing patient care efficiencies.
