The Federal Trade Commission issued an alert encouraging people to keep software up to date. According to the FTC, updated software can help protect sensitive financial and tax information.
According to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the following software should be updated: security software; operating system software; and Internet browsers and apps. Updates should be performed frequently, or even better, updates should be set to update automatically. Delaying update reminders on any computing device gives hackers additional time to access your information.
