The U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration is offering a series of webinars with information about sponsoring an employee benefit plan. The webinars are targeted to small and medium sized businesses who may need help understanding benefit plan responsibilities.

The Getting It right- Know Your Fiduciary Responsibilities webcast series will be delivered in three parts and address managing common problems in both retirement and health plans.

The first day will address basic fiduciary responsibilities when operating a retirement plan along with prohibited transaction provisions and exemptions. The second day will address reporting and disclosure provisions and the voluntary correction program for retirement plans. The third day will address fiduciary responsibilities when operating a health plan, reporting and disclosure provisions, and qualified medical child support orders.
