If you are an employer that uses BAS’ Cobra Control Services for COBRA or continuation of coverage administration, CCS may be sending your administrator an email explaining action that is needed with respect to one or more of your continuants.

An assistance eligible individual pays $0 for coverage while the individual remains eligible for the ARPA premium subsidy. For more information regarding the COBRA premium subsidy under the American Rescue Plan Act, click here.

If an assistance eligible individual already paid for one or more months of coverage in which they were assistance eligible, they may be due a refund of the premiums paid. When CCS has already remitted collected premiums to the employer, it is the employer’s obligation to return the funds to the continuant.

CCS will be notifying you by email if you are required to issue a refund check to one or more of your continuants.

If premiums paid by the continuant were not yet sent to the employer, CCS will issue the refund to the continuant directly. Check your emails from CCS and refer to your monthly remittance check detail report for more information.
