Q.- An employee complained to us that we didn’t withhold enough taxes from his paycheck and he had to pay a lot of taxes this year. How do we respond to him?

A.- You should suggest to the employee that he complete a new Form W-4 and update his withholdings. The employee might want to use the IRS’ W-4 calculator tool to estimate an appropriate withholding election. You should direct the employee to visit the IRS Tax Witholding Estimator
