Q.- We are hiring a part time employee and we know he won’t work more than 30 hours per week. Should we still track his hours for ACA purposes?

A.- Yes. We suggest tracking hours for every employee receiving W-2 compensation. Whether you use the look-back method or the monthly method for measuring hours, you never know if the employee will increase his work hours during the year and work the requisite hours to be offered health coverage.
