Q.- We follow Federal COBRA. Is it true that we have to extend the premium payment date for our continuants?

A.- Yes. The Department of Labor issued a rule providing COBRA continuants extended time to pay COBRA premiums. Any premium payment due between March 1, 2020 and 60 days after the government declares an end to the COVID-19 National Emergency is ignored when calculating premium due dates.
