Q.- I purchased ibuprofen at the pharmacy. I submitted the receipt for reimbursement from my FSA. It is clearly a medicine, but the reimbursement was rejected. Why?

A.- Over the counter medicines and drugs must be prescribed to be reimbursed from a health FSA, even if they are available to purchase over the counter. The reimbursement request will not be paid without a valid prescription.
