News from the IRS: 2021 Draft 1095 Forms Released

The IRS released its draft forms for 2021 ACA reporting.

The IRS released draft 1094-B/C and 1095-B/C Forms for 2021. Once finalized, the forms will be used for completing 2021 tax year health care reform reporting.

The “B” forms are used by insurers and some self-insured health plans to report health coverage information. The “C” Forms are used by applicable large employers to report coverage and offers of coverage.

The 1095-C Form removes some of the coding options for Line 14 that were added last year relating to individual coverage HRAs.

No changes seem to have been made to Form 1095-B and the 1094 Forms are unchanged.
