Mobile Devices and Holiday Travel

The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) released tips for traveling with electronics. During the holiday season, many people travel with their smart phones and other mobile devices. It is important to stay mindful of potential threats and vulnerabilities.

US-CERT offers the following tips:

  1. Do not use public WiFi networks
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth when not in use
  3. Be cautious when charging
  4. Don’t fall victim to phishing scams
