MyEnroll Blocks Compressed Files

MyEnroll security protocol prohibits compressed files from entering the BAS network. A compressed file (such as one ending with .zip, .exe or .qt) can contain an undetectable virus, or can cause malicious software to download onto the computer of the recipient who opens the file. MyEnroll security can detect a compressed file even if the sender removes the extension name.

If someone tries to send a message containing a compressed file to a BAS employee, the sender will receive a bounce-back message indicating that the message did not reach the intended recipient. The individual should re-send the message without the compressed attachment.
