Employers must make sure they have furnished to employees and covered individuals any required Affordable Care Act (health care reform) 1095 reporting forms.

The IRS had extended the deadline to deliver ACA forms to employees from January 31, 2018 to March 2, 2018. As background, insurers and small employers with self-funded health plans furnish Form 1095-B (Health Coverage) to individuals covered under their health plan. Applicable Large Employers (50 or more full-time employees) furnish Form 1095-C to their full-time employees and (for employers with self-funded plans) to the individuals covered under their health plan.

All employers should review their ACA compliance requirements and make sure the required ACA reporting forms are delivered by tomorrow.
