HHS to Allow States to Pick-and-Choose Exchange Services to Offer

According to www.BenefitsPro.com today,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) says it wants to let states pick and choose the services they individually want to support and pass the others onto HHS.

HHS indicated that each state will be able to decide which insurers can participate in an exchange and, to some extent, which products can be sold through an exchange.

Further, each state will be able to choose the specific functions it wants to support such as plan management functions, consumer assistance functions, or both plan management and consumer assistance functions. Read the Complete Article
