Security for Internet of Things

Internet connected devices, also known as “Internet of Things (IoT)” are becoming more and more prevalent in society. These connected devices require security practices to keep private information secure.

The National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center recommends the following steps for securing IoT:

  • Use Strong Passwords
  • Evaluate Security Settings
  • Ensure Up-to-Date Software
  • Connect Carefully

Users of Internet connected IoT devices should understand that those items require privacy and security protections.
