Q.- An employee dropped our health coverage and enrolled in his wife’s plan. Her company had an April plan year and our plan year started in January. Do we need to send him a COBRA notice since he lost our health coverage?

A.- No. Your employee voluntarily terminated coverage and dropping coverage voluntarily is not a COBRA qualifying event.
