Q.- Are over the counter cold medicines eligible for reimbursement from a health flexible spending account plan?
A.- Yes. The cost of an over the counter cold medicine is eligible for reimbursement from a health FSA. A receipt should document the cost of the medicine and if you use any coupons or discounts, those will be taken into account in determining the amount of reimbursement from the FSA.
