Q.- How do we make sure the medical coverage we offer to employees is affordable for ACA purposes? Compensation can fluctuate throughout the year.

A.- The easiest way to make sure your coverage is affordable for ACA purposes is to set the cost of single-only coverage to more than $103.28 per month. This amount is 9.12% of the federal poverty level which is the threshold for being considered affordable under a safe-harbor option provided by the IRS.
