Q.- Do we have to pay employees if we give them off for Memorial Day?

A.- The federal government does not require companies to provide paid vacation time or paid holidays to employees.  Employers are generally able to set their own paid-time-off rules (subject to state and federal sick-pay requirements). We suggest you consult state law and your company policy.
