Q.- Can an employee get reimbursed from his dependent day care FSA for the cost of gas to take his child to and from the daycare center?

A.- No.  The cost of transporting a qualifying individual to or from a place where care is provided may be eligible for reimbursement only when the transportation is furnished by the dependent care provider.  If the transportation is not furnished by the dependent care provider, the costs are not considered to be for care and are not eligible for reimbursement.
