Q.- We sent a terminated employee a COBRA notice, but it was returned for the wrong address. The election period has ended. Do we have to send a new notice?

A.- If you sent the COBRA notice to the last address on file, you do not have to send a new notice. Be sure that you used the last known address you had for the individual and that the individual did not provide the company with updated contact information. You should keep proof of the mailing of the notice to the last known address.
