New Form I-9 Released

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a new version of Form I-9. All employers use Form I-9 to document and the employment eligibility of newly hired employees.

The revisions to the template form, which were released last month, include slight changes to the instructions and list of acceptable documents. The new version revises the certifications for certain foreign nationals and renumbers the listing of acceptable documents under List C. It also confirms that the form must be completed at the time of hire.

Employers should use discard their old templates and use the new form with a revision date of 07/17/17. The form can be accessed by clicking here.
