MyEnroll.com Can Administer Recent Cafeteria Plan Permissible Changes

As reported in prior installments of the News to Use, cafeteria plans can be amended to allow new mid-year life event changes for coordination with health care reform. See our article here

BAS’ self-service life event module through MyEnroll.com can accommodate a plan that allows a participant to drop coverage mid-year to enroll in Marketplace coverage either during a special enrollment period or during the Marketplace’s annual enrollment period. The life event module will also accommodate a change in employment status when an employee goes above or below an employer’s hours threshold for benefits eligibility.
