The Department of Homeland Security published a tip card offering suggestions on rules and regulations an organization can implement to address cyber threats. The document can be accessed by clicking here.

The tip card urges business leaders to be cyber-aware and incorporate cyber safety into business strategy. It suggests implementing a layered defense strategy including technical, organization and operational controls; establishing policies and procedures; coordinating response strategy; updating anti-virus software; and regularly downloading security patches.

Businesses must be aware of the potential of cyber security threats and structure their IT security approaches appropriately.
