For many employer Flexible Spending Account Plans, the last day for submitting claims for the 2016 plan year is fast approaching. Health Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plans typically allow employees a period of time after the end of the year (and any grace period) to submit claims for reimbursement. For many calendar year FSAs, including calendar year FSAs administered by BAS, the last day to submit claims for the 2016 plan year is 11:59 pm ET, June 30, 2017.

Employees can confirm the submission deadline for their flexible spending account plans by logging into myenroll.com. At the top of the homepage click on the "Employees" tab, then click on the "View Acct. Balances & History" link to view the account deadlines.

Employees who wish to be reimbursed from 2016 plan funds for eligible expenses incurred during the 2016 plan year and any grace period must submit claims for reimbursement by 11:59 pm ET on June 30, 2017. If submitted timely, the claim can be considered for reimbursement. If the properly submitted claim is denied, an employee is permitted to send documentation to support the claim, even if the deadline has passed.

For questions about FSA reimbursements, contact your account manager or service@basusa.com.
