The BAS Cares Team partnered with the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee, Inc. (UUARC) to help support refugees and victims of the crisis in Ukraine. The UUARC, recognized as one of America’s Best Charities, was founded in 1944 to help Ukrainians in refugee camps after WWII. Its mission has expanded and now has an emphasis on responding to the greatest needs of Ukrainians through social programs impacting orphanages, schools, hospitals, and the sick and elderly.

With millions of potential victims of the present Ukrainian crisis, UUARC is fundraising to provide vital medical supplies, care for the injured, as well as shelter and food for those affected.

The BAS Cares team organized a collection outreach for supplies that are in great demand. Collection requests included

  • Medical Supplies, such as burn cream, antibiotic cream, wound closure strips, and first aid items;
  • Hygiene Supplies, such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine products, socks, and diapers; and
  • Other Items, such as towels, sheets, water purifiers, backpacks, trash bags, baby bottles, and pacifiers.

BAS also secured monetary donations in additional to supplies.

As always, the BAS Cares Team shows the amazing generosity and support of the entire BAS community.
