Q.- Our business is closing up shop. We are terminating employment for all employees and cancelling health coverage. What happens with people who are on COBRA?

A.- If you no longer offer a group health plan, the people on COBRA lose their health benefits, also. If you use Cobra Control Services, LLC as your COBRA vendor, please make sure to tell CCS as early as possible about the business termination so CCS can work with you on notifying your COBRA continuants. If not notified, the COBRA continuants can incur health expenses that will not be covered under any insurance.
