BAS makes it easy to generate a COBRA qualifying event letter through MyEnroll.com. If you are not a BAS COBRA Services client presently, you can sign up online by clicking here. Or, please contact us at 1.888.887.6187 or Sales@BASusa.com and we will show you how to get your account set up immediately and be ready for complete COBRA compliance.

Follow these easy steps to confirm that an appropriate letter is sent to the qualified beneficiary.

  • Log into MyEnroll.com
  • Click the tab titled COBRA at the top of the page
  • Click the link titled Employee Qualifying Event Notice on the left
  • Search for the employee by last name in the search box. If the employee is not in MyEnroll.com, click the button titled “Add An Employee”
  • Enter the employee’s information as requested. Click “Save and Next”
  • If there are dependents, add Dependent by clicking the appropriate button and enter dependent information, then click “Save and Next” once all dependents have been added
  • Use the drop down box to select the reason for the COBRA notice. Using the calendar button, choose the date that you learned of the event. Next, using the calendar button, choose the employee’s last day of work. MyEnroll will then default the employee’s loss of coverage date and COBRA start date.
  • If there is a severance payment toward the COBRA coverage, assign the dollar amount and end date on the Severance screen
  • Select the appropriate benefit plan under each category listed by clicking “edit” next to the Medical, Dental or Vision plan. Select the appropriate plan and family status for each plan selected
  • Original Coverage Effective Date – Enter the date that the employee “originally” became covered under the group medical plan.
  • Review all information and click Save and Next. A confirmation will appear indicating that the COBRA Qualifying Event letter has been processed

The COBRA QEL will print at Cobra Control Services, LLC office on the following business day and be mailed the following business day. If you have questions, contact your account manager or info@cobracontrol.com.
