What is Email Verification?

Benefit Allocation Systems, Inc. and its MyEnroll.com uses email addresses to communicate with plan participants. In order to be certain that the email address an employer provides MyEnroll.com, or an email address that an administrator and/or employee enters into MyEnroll.com is truly associated with the corresponding employee, BAS requires that the employee verify the email address. This email verification must take place before MyEnroll.com will use the address for employee communications.

The email verification process is necessary because from time-to-time, email addresses provided to MyEnroll.com are inaccurate. Email addresses can be inaccurate due to typographical errors, or due to incorrect associations such as having two employees with the same name in the employer's email system and an administrator mistakenly creating a duplicate email address record.

The email verification process begins instantly upon a new or revised email address being saved into MyEnroll.com. The process is as follows:

  • An email is sent to the new/revised email address with instructions on how to verify the email address that includes a hyperlink to the MyEnroll.com online verification page.
  • The recipient of this email, supposedly the employee, enters a set of personal information data elements into the verification page.
  • MyEnroll.com compares the set of personal data elements with the employee's known data elements in MyEnroll.com.
  • If MyEnroll.com is able to find a 100% match on the set of provided data elements with the known data, then the email address is verified.
  • If MyEnroll.com is not able to find a 100% match, then the verification is rejected.

Since it would be virtually impossible for an unintended recipient of the email verification request to guess the required data elements, only the actual employee to whom the email truly belongs will be verified for the use of the email.

Questions about the email verification process can be directed to your account manager or info@BASusa.com.
