BAS' Dependent Eligibility Audit Program helps employers confirm that only eligible dependents are covered under their group health plans. Employers can achieve large cost savings by reviewing plan participation to make sure that benefits are provided only to individuals who are actually eligible for coverage under the terms of the plan. Employers should think about reviewing and verifying dependent eligibility in the new plan year.

BAS has a customizable dependent eligibility verification process available through MyEnroll.com. Each dependent eligibility review is tailored to the individual employer's needs. BAS can customize verification documents, communicate the dependent eligibility verification process to employees, and review and monitor employees' documentation.

Employees can fax, scan or upload supporting dependent eligibility documentation directly into MyEnroll.com. BAS reviews the documents submitted and corresponds with the employee as the verification process progresses. If an employee's dependent is found to be ineligible, the employer can remove the individual from coverage and recognize a cost savings.
