The Benefit Statement available through MyEnroll.com provides a real-time snap-shot of employee benefit enrollment information, including: demographic data, benefit elections, effective dates, dependent data, employee contribution estimates and beneficiaries. Below are some great examples of how HR Administrators are using the Benefit Statement.

1. New Employee Benefits Counseling: HR Benefit Administrators print out the Benefit Statement and review the elections with the new employee prior to the close of the employee’s new employee enrollment period. Reviewing the Benefit Statement together provides an opportunity to confirm the employee’s intent and could potentially reduce errors and employee appeals.

2. Pre-Exit Counseling: HR Benefit Administrators can review with an exiting employee current benefits and advise which benefits, if any, are COBRA eligible, or which benefits, if any, are eligible for policy conversion, etc.

3. Leave Counseling: When an employee takes a leave of absence, FMLA or otherwise, Benefit Administrators can use the Benefit Statement to review current elections and discuss mid-year election changes if the leave is accompanied by a qualifying life event under the plan.

The Benefit Statement is available to employees and administrators at any time. Simply log on to www.MyEnroll.com; locate the employee record, and select “Benefit Statement.”
