Benefit Allocation Systems, Inc. offers Dependent Eligibility Audit Services for employers to conduct dependent eligibility reviews. Employers can recognize tremendous cost savings by reviewing plan participation and verifying that benefits are being provided only to individuals eligible under the terms of the plan.

BAS has a customized dependent eligibility verification process that identifies ineligible dependents. BAS works with the employer to define the project timeline, verification documents, eligibility parameters, and employee notices and communications. BAS can help with an amnesty period to allow for the removal of ineligible dependents, and can verify COBRA participants, as well.

Through its MyEnroll.com portal, employees can quickly and easily review and certify their covered dependents. Employees fax, scan or upload supporting dependent eligibility documentation directly into MyEnroll.com. BAS reviews the submitted documentation and corresponds with the employee to keep the employee apprised of the verification process.

BAS identifies individuals who are covered by the plan but not eligible for coverage, and reports that information to the employer. The employer can remove the ineligible individuals from coverage, thereby recognizing a cost savings.

The process generally works as follows:

1. Employees receive an email from MyEnroll-Services requesting verification of email address.

2. After verification, employees log on to MyEnroll.com.

3. From the employee home page in MyEnroll.com, employees select "Dependent Audit."

4. Employees start the Dependent Audit and follow easy on-line instructions.

5. Ineligible Dependents can be removed before the process starts.

6. Employees select the method to provide copies of necessary documentation to verify dependent eligibility. Documents can be scanned, faxed or mailed. If scanned, employees will be given detailed instructions on the scanning process.

7. A confirmation email is sent upon receipt of documentation.
