Q.- An employee is going on FMLA. We allow her to continue all of her health coverage. She has decided she wants to voluntarily drop her vision coverage but she is continuing medical coverage. Do we need to send her a COBRA notice for the vision coverage?

A.- No. Voluntarily dropping coverage when it would otherwise remain available is not a COBRA qualifying event.
