Q.- We set up a short FSA plan year, 1/1/25 – 6/30/25, and then on 7/1/2025 we began a full plan year. Our plan has a carryover feature. Do employees get the full amount to carryover from the short plan year?

A.- The carryover does not have to be prorated for a short plan year. The full carryover amount can be available, so long as your plan allows it.
