Q.-  I thought health care reform required children to be covered under our plans until age 26. Why won’t our dental carrier allow this? 

A.- The requirement of coverage for dependents up to age 26 applies to medical coverage, only. If you have a stand-alone dental plan, the carrier does not have to cover dependents up to age 26.
