Multifactor Identification Tip Sheet

Multifactor identification, also referred to as two-factor identification is a security process requiring more than one authentication method, from independent sources, to verify a user’s identity before granting access to an online account. Multifactor identification provides extra security protection by pulling identification data from two separate sources.
