Written by BAS | Apr 18, 2019 1:00:56 PM

EEO-1 is an annual survey capturing demographic information about employees. The survey is an annual reporting requirement for all private employers with 100 or more employees and federal government contractors or first-tier subcontractors with 50 or more employees and a federal contract, subcontract or purchase order amounting to $50,000. Covered employers must track and report employee data by ethnicity, race and sex. Covered employers must also track pay data.

Reporting is completed through the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) website.  The site opened to accept transmissions beginning March 18, 2019. The deadline to submit EEO-1 ethnicity, race and sex data has been extended until May 31, 2019. The reporting date for pay data is up in the air.

Filers should visit to the EEO-1 website for information about the 2018 EEO-1 collection. A list of frequently asked questions may be accessed by clicking here.
