AT&T and the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reached a settlement addressing data breaches at AT&T call centers in Mexico, Columbia and the Philippines.

Certain call center employees at AT&T stole information stored in the AT&T computer system that could request codes to unlock stolen phones. The breaches occurred in 2013 and 2014 and AT&T no longer does business with the call centers. The settlement requires AT&T to pay $25 million.

Benefit Allocation Systems, Inc. requires all of its employees to undergo background checks. BAS also limits access of employees to MyEnroll.com to what is needed to accomplish their roles at the company.
