As we approach the Affordable Care Act (ACA) data collection and reporting deadline, we would like to remind you of the methods for recording hours in the MyEnroll.com ACA Compliance module.

The ACA requires employers to track employees’ hours worked so the employer can determine their full-time status and eligibility for health coverage. Since BAS relies on employee hours entered in MyEnroll to calculate employees’ full time status and generate ACA forms, it is important to maintain accurate hours data for each employee in your organization. MyEnroll offers the following methods to record employee hours.

  • Manual Hours Entry

An administrator can record the hours an employee has worked by logging into MyEnroll.com, selecting the Compliance tab (top of screen) and then Employee Hours Entry tab. Using either the monthly or daily screens, update the hours for individual employee records.

  • Self Service File Uploads

BAS has a free and simple interface for uploading a file to the BAS MyEnroll system with data from a payroll vendor to avoid the need to manually enter hours. For our ACA-only clients, this file upload can also add new employees, update demographic information & terminations. For larger locations, a file up-load is the most efficient process to load employee data into MyEnroll on a monthly basis. If you have more than 50 employees in your location, and would like to take advantage of this free self-service file loading option, contact the ACA team at aca-services@basusa.com.

  • Defaulted Hours

Clients who have chosen to apply defaulted hours to individual employee records will be able to see the hours entered in MyEnroll on the 3rd of every month. You can edit the defaulted hours by selecting the Employee Hours Entry tab and entering the adjusted hours, as you would with manual hours entry. It is important to edit these adjustments after the defaulted hours are applied on the 3rd of every month.  If the hours are edited earlier, the defaulted hours will override your adjustment when they are applied on the 3rd of the month.

Remember, step by step videos for the MyEnroll functionalities described above are available at the ACA Central website : https://www.basusa.com/aca-central.
