As part of Benefit Allocation System’s focus on community service, BAS participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Walk on June 2. BAS employees raised money which was donated to the American Cancer Society to find a cure for cancer. Despite the inclement weather, the event was a huge success.

The day started at 3:00 PM when teams gathered for the opening ceremony. The walk kicked off with a Survivor/Caregiver’s Lap, uniting and supporting all those affected by cancer in their lives. Walking continued throughout the day signifying that cancer never takes a break.

BAS supported a festive table with candy and food, raising money for the American Cancer Society’s mission. Many people stopped by BAS’ site to visit with and support BAS team members and their families. The end of the day was marked by a Luminaria ceremony where candles remembered the people lost to the disease and honored those who have fought or are fighting cancer. The closing ceremony which will help to inspire all participants to continue to fight and take action against cancer.

BAS was thrilled to be part of such a meaningful event, and thanks our Community Service Team for a great job organizing BAS' involvement.
