Individuals who purchased health coverage through the Federal Marketplaces are being asked to document that they are living in the United States legally.

Only those who are present in the United States lawfully can purchase coverage through the Exchange.  Some Exchange participants have been found to have discrepancies with respect to their citizenship and immigration status.

The government is contacting certain individuals to ask them to submit more documentation on their lawful status.  If documentation is not provided by September 5, 2014, coverage may be terminated September 30, 2014.
